Should I book a tour in advance?
To avoid disappointment, we recommend that tours are booked in advance to guarantee your place. Tours are available to book 12 months in advance either online or by contacting us via email [email protected] or telephone +44 (0)1586 555468.
Do I need to pay in advance or can I pay on the day?
We kindly ask for payment at the time of booking.
Can I just arrive at the distillery without booking?
You can arrive at the distillery without booking however we cannot guarantee availability on our tour experiences. Tours are available to book online and by contacting us via email [email protected] or telephone +44 (0)1586 555468.
What do I do if I want to change the date or time of my tour?
Please call a member of our team on +44 (0)1586 555468 or email [email protected] to change the date or time of your tour. This can be done up to 24 hours prior to your original booking. After this time, no changes can be made.
What is your cancellation and refunds policy?
We will provide refunds if tours are cancelled at least 48 hours prior to the tour time. After this time, no refunds will be given. Please call a member of our team on +44 (0)1586 555468 or email [email protected] to arrange a refund.
What is the address for Springbank distillery?
The address for Springbank Distillery is Well Close, Campbeltown, Argyll, PA28 6ET.
Is there parking at the distillery?
Yes, we have a car park on site which visitors are welcome to use. Entry to the distillery is available from Longrow and Glebe Street.
When should I arrive for my tour or tasting?
We recommend guests arrive around 10-15 minutes before their tour or tasting begins.
Where do I go when I arrive?
Visitors taking part in the Cadenhead Warehouse Tasting should report to the Cadenhead’s Whisky Shop where you can check-in and receive your tickets. Your guide will meet you here to begin your tour or tasting. Visitors taking part in our Springbank or Kilkerran tour should report to Springbank Distillery shop.
What happens if I am late for my tour or tasting?
If you arrive up to 10 minutes after the tour start time, we will do our best to catch you up with your tour group. If you arrive more than 10 minutes after the tour start time, unfortunately you will not be able to join the group and the cost of your tour will not be refunded. Where possible, we will do our best to fit you onto the next available tour.
Do I need to print and bring my booking confirmation email?
There is no requirement for guests to bring their confirmation email as we will have a record of your booking. We will ask for a name on arrival to confirm your booking.
Can I take photographs?
Guests are permitted to take photographs throughout our warehouse(s) and both distilleries with the exception of our Bottling Hall. If necessary, our guide will make you aware of this during the tour.
Are children permitted on the tours?
Under 18’s are welcome on our Springbank and Kilkerran Tours and can join free of charge as long as they are accompanied by a responsible adult. If you plan to bring along children, please add a note of this at the time of booking. No under 18’s will be permitted during Tastings or other events.
Is there wheelchair and pram access?
Cadenhead’s Warehouse Tastings are accessible however, due to the Victorian age of Springbank and the set up of Glengyle, there are some areas of the distilleries which are not suitable for wheelchairs, walking aids or prams. We understand that everyone’s needs are different and we do our best to accommodate those who might require further assistance so please get in contact if you have any questions or would like further advice.
What should I wear on the tour?
Our tours take place throughout our distillery buildings and as you will be outdoors for short periods of time, we recommend wearing warm clothing. Sensible footwear is also advised.
Can I book for a group to visit?
For most options, guests can book for up to 10 people online. If you are booking for a group larger than this, please call +44 (0)1586555468 or email [email protected] and we will be happy to advise you. Springbank’s Barley to Bottle Tour has a maximum number of 8 people.
Do you offer discounts for group bookings or concession rates?
If you are booking for a group of 20 or more, please get in touch to discuss a group discount. Unfortunately we do not offer any concession rates.
Can I apply a discount code after the booking has been made?
No, once a booking/order has been made a discount code cannot be added.
For example, if you are a Cadenhead’s Club member and you wish to apply a discount code – or if you book a tasting then decide to become a new Club member – we cannot add the code afterwards.
You will need to cancel the booking and then re-book.
Am I able to build a package using various tour and tasting options?
Absolutely! Our tours/tastings of Cadenhead’s, Springbank and Kilkerran are timed perfectly so that you can manage more than one activity the same day. Please get in touch with us if you would like more advice on this.
What if I’m driving, can I still take part in the tasting?
Yes, you are able to nose throughout the tasting following your tour experience. However no whisky consumption will be allowed as we have a zero tolerance policy. We will provide complimentary bottles to allow you to take your drams away, should you be driving.
How can I get to the distillery by public transport?
Our distillery is located in the heart of the town centre, a short 3-4 minute walk from the main bus stance. Information on the best ways to travel to Campbeltown can be found by visiting www.explorecampbeltown.com
Is there a shop?
Absolutely, our Cadenhead’s Shop can be found on Union Street, just off Longrow, and the Springbank Distillery shop is located on the grounds of the distillery.
Are there toilets on site?
Yes, there are toilets (including baby changing facilities) within our distillery shop which visitors are welcome to use. There are also toilets at the Cadenhead’s shop and round the corner at our Tasting Room bar on Bolgam street.
Are dogs permitted in the distillery?
Due to health and safety purposes, we are unable to allow dogs into the distillery building. Well behaved dogs are permitted into our onsite Distillery Shop and Cadenhead’s Whisky Shop but must be on a lead. We also allow dogs into our Tasting Room on Bolgam Street.
What are your opening hours?
We are open Monday-Saturday all year round, with the exception of a few days over the festive period. Our opening hours are 10am-6pm
